Popeyes Enters Tempe With New Prototype

Popeyes fast-food chain has laid claim to the southwest corner of Elliot Road and Priest Drive in Tempe for its Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurant prototype, the first in the area and one of many the chain is planning over the next few months in Phoenix with its franchise owner, says Velocity Retail Group's Michael Clark, who along with Velocity's Dave Cheatham and Nick Ault reps the chain. Michael says the new eatery features a longer menu of Louisiana-inspired options other than just fried chicken. Velocity is "actively working around 10 deals, targeting high-profile sites across the MSA," he says.
