Whole Foods Opens At Burnaby’s Solo District

Whole Foods opened a new 41k SF store at Solo District last week in Burnaby, the city’s first location and the fifth in BC. The Burnaby Whole Foods (4420 Lougheed Hwy) is part of a master planned community by Appia Developments that includes four residential towers and a 12-storey office building. Whole Foods has hired 230 employees for the Burnaby store, which will offer 30 products from new BC vendors (on top of the 200-plus BC vendors already featured at stores across the province). This includes Burnaby's Le Gateau Bake Shop, recipient of a $66k local producer loan from Whole Foods.
