Slate Retail REIT has reached a deal to acquire Flowers Plantation in the Raleigh, NC, metro area for $6.3M. The property is 97% occupied by anchor Food Lion. The acquisition—Slate’s fifth shopping centre in North Carolina—is set to close in Q2. Last year, Slate Retail—owner/operator of $1B of US grocery-anchored real estate assets—acquired Little River Pavilion in Little River, SC, and the Winn-Dixie grocery store-anchored Meres Town Center in Tarpon Springs, FL. Last month it sold Madison Centre, a Publix-anchored mall in Madison, AL.
