Plaza Retail REIT Plans $21M Investment In 14 Projects

Plaza Retail REIT is investing $21M in 14 projects in Atlantic Canada, Quebec and Ontario, including the expansion of the retail plaza at 9025 Torbram Road in Brampton (above) and of 190 Queen St E, also in Brampton, currently a 20k SF single-use retail location. The New Brunswick-based trust says the projects will add 97k SF to its 7.6M SF nationwide portfolio, a mix of strip plazas, stand-alone small box retail outlets and enclosed shopping centres—297 properties in all. Three of the projects are being developed in JVs.
