Joe Fresh, Ryerson Create Fashion Innovation Centre

On the hunt for the next generation of talent, Joe Fresh is partnering with Ryerson University to create Canada's first fashion innovation centre. Funded by a $1M investment from the retailer, the Joe Fresh Centre for Fashion Innovation will develop and support emerging firms via Ryerson's Fashion Zone incubator, Joe Fresh president Mario Grauso says. The centre will be modelled after the school's Digital Media Zone—which has incubated over 125 companies since 2010—giving fashion-inspired businesses a chance to hone business models and skills through mentorships.
