Ivanhoé Cambridge and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board plan to spend $44M to revitalize Carrefour de l'Estrie in Sherbrooke, QC. The project will be completed in four phases over two years, with the 1.2M SF, 170-store mall remaining open during work. Phase 1 is a redevelopment of a former Target into four new retail spaces on two levels, including a 45k SF Super C supermarket; Phase 2 will include construction of a new entrance and glass wall for the centre’s eastern section; Phase 3 will entail new windows for restaurants along the mall’s exterior. The final phase will bring new interior finishes.
