Mohawk Medical Properties REIT Acquires Brantford Medical Centre

Mohawk Medical Properties REIT has acquired Brantford Medical Centre, a 50k SF building at 40 Shellington Place that went into receivership in 2014. Located near Highway 403, the medical centre is 100% tenanted by two family health organizations, a pharmacy, laboratory, X-ray and physiotherapy clinics, plus other medical services and physician offices. Mohawk Medical Management Corp will provide management services for the centre, the REIT said, noting it has two more medical properties under contract, with plans to close both this month.
