Mohawk Medical Properties REIT Buys Ottawa Building

Mohawk Medical Properties REIT has bought Ottawa’s Carling Broadview Medical Centre, a 40k SF, three-storey building occupied by 52 physicians plus medical services (lab and X-ray facilities), a pharmacy and physiotherapy and sleep clinics. The property, Mohawk’s fourth in the nation’s capital, is located along Carling Avenue, a major east-west artery connecting to Ottawa’s central business district. The deal brings Mohawk’s portfolio to 72 medical office buildings. Last month the REIT acquired a building in Airdrie, AB, and said it has several others under contract with plans to close this month.
