The GTA's regional transit agency Metrolinx is seeking proposals to develop four of the station properties along the new Eglinton Crosstown LRT line. In a front-page exclusive for the Globe and Mail, Bisnow alum Stephen Wickens reports that Metrolinx—which yesterday issued RFPs for the development of station sites on Eglinton Avenue West at Bathurst Street, Weston Road and two properties at Keele Street—is “following in the footsteps of financially successful transit agencies overseas,” aggressively seeking returns on its transit investments by “ensuring new stations are parts of mixed-use buildings from day one.”
