Mazel tov to Glenwood Management EVP Gary Jacob (second from left), who was honored with the Israel Peace Medal at the State of Israel Bonds Real Estate and Construction Division's recent annual testimonial luncheon at the Pierre. Joining him are Glenwood's Leonard Litwin, Israel Bonds real estate campaign chair Arnold Penner, and Silverstein Properties' Larry Silverstein. Gary advises on the acquisition, construction, and financing of Glenwood buildings, and also serves as the VP of the Rent Stabilization Association and EVP of ABO New York. Over 400 attendees helped raise more than $60M in bonds for the State of Israel; since 1951, Israel Bonds has secured more than $22B in investment capital to develop Israel's economy.

And the New York Building Congress bestowed Skanska USA chairman Stuart Graham with its Industry Recognition Award and STV Group president Milo Riverso with its George A. Fox Public Service Award at the annual Industry Recognition Dinner at the Grand Hyatt, where 900 members of the building community gathered to pay tribute to the two industry greats. Here, the award winners are flanked by NYBC chairman Peter Marchetto and New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, who served as chairman of the dinner. Congrats!
And speaking of legends, veteran NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw(with CBRE's Mary Ann Tighe) was one of the 700 attendees on hand at Uniting Against Lung Cancer's Strolling Supper with Blues & News at Gotham Hall on Nov. 17, which he emceed along with WABC news anchor Bill Ritter. The night, which raised close to $1M for lung cancer research, commemorated Lung Cancer Awareness Month in NYC with a performance by blues great Delbert McClinton and a silent auction. They also announced $1.2M in research grants.
