Metropica Unveils Retail Lineup

The Metropica development by Joseph Kavana of K Group Holdings in Sunrise, which will include 400k SF of commercial space and 1,250 condos on 65 acres, unveiled an initial list of restaurants and retailers this week. (Trillist Cos CEO Scott Leventhal, who's developing the first residential property at Metropica, will be a speaker at our 4th annual South Florida Residential Development Forum on Dec. 3.)

The retail component will break ground next year, and will include Shack Shake—the New York burger joint that's expanding rapidly nationwide—which already has locations in Boca Raton, Coral Gables and Central Florida. True Food Kitchen, a health-conscious dining concept, will open its first Florida location in Metropica.

Other retailers coming to the development are Pisco y Nazca, Salsa Fiesta, Oil and Vinegar, jeweler Kendra Scott, Anthropologie and women's apparel brand Free People. [SFBJ]
