REI is moving its HQ from Kent to Bellevue. The outdoor gear cooperative inked a non-binding letter of intent to develop eight acres in Bellevue's Spring District, the $2.3B development by Wright Runstad.
REI currently owns its HQ campus in Kent, where about 1,100 employees work, making it the suburb's second-largest private employer after Boeing, the Puget Sound Business Journal reports. Though the agreement is non-binding, REI says it's "confident in the process" and will move in by 2020. [PSBJ]
