New Art for Amazon Phase VI

Something new for South Lake Union: “There is Another Sky,” an installation by Spencer Finch, integrated into the Amazon Phase VI campus, between the two buildings that make up the expansion, which is a project of Vulcan Real Estate. According to the artist, the piece evokes a forest canopy and creates a lively open-air experience within an urban setting. Accompanying the canopy glasswork is a sculptural installation on the ground level of 100 “fireflies” in the form of LED lights throughout the planted areas of the courtyard. Vulcan partnered with the City of Seattle to make it happen.
