Warriors Arena Update: New Renderings

The public just got a close-up look of what it will be like to walk into a Warriors game. At last week's Mission Bay Citizens Advisory Committee, Manica Architecture revealed a new crop of renderings that focus on the street level around the planned Warriors Arena, writes Curbed. The design is still a work in progress, says Warriors spokesman PJ Johnston. "As part of our community planning process, we provide regular updates to the CAC and the public as the design evolves and is refined," he says.

The images show off the plaza outside the stadium entrance and there's even a teaser of incoming food offerings (maybe even a food hall). The architecture firm's big initial reveal in December showcased aerial views. The proposal includes 3.2 acres of plazas and public space, as well as a five and a half acre waterfront park. Approvals are expected to wrap up in the fall. The soonest this stadium could come to life is for the 2018-19 NBA season, following two years of construction. [Curbed]
