Caterpillar Setting Up Regional HQ In Tuscon

Heavy equipment maker Caterpillar is locating a regional HQ in Tucson, with between 40 and 60 employees relocating to the county-owned building at 97 E Congress St.

The building will hold executive management, engineering, product development and support positions while a new facility is built, also in the Downtown area.

The company has a large plant in Monterrey, Mexico, and suppliers throughout northern Mexico, Tucson.com reports. The company also has a proving ground near Green Valley. [Tucson]
