Phoenix Tops Nation in Construction Job Creation

The Phoenix metro area gained the most construction jobs of any place in the country over the last 12 months, according to the Associated General Contractors.

Our market added 8,200 construction jobs between September 2014 and this September, the AGC notes in a new report. That tops hot markets like Denver (up 7,900 jobs) and Seattle (up 6,900), and much larger markets (NY, up 1,800, and Chicago, up 4,900).

All together, there are now 102,800 construction workers in metro Phoenix, the industry group calculates. [PBJ]
