Avison Young Comes To Town

Avison Young has come to town, as it has in so many other markets in recent years. The Canadian real estate giant recently acquired Phoenix-based GPE Management Services and GPE Commercial Advisors, establishing its new presence here. David Genovese (pictured), along with Julie Johnson and Alexandra Loye, have become principals in Avison Young. Over the past seven years, the company has grown from 11 to 77 offices in 70 markets, and from 300 to more than 2,200 real estate pros.

“With Phoenix, Avison Young now has a local presence in all major American markets,” says SVP of corporate strategy Hiren Thakar. Besides establishing an office, Avison Young was drawn to Phoenix for the MOBs. “GPE is a well-established player in the medical office market, which is becoming increasingly important to our clients across the country," says Hiren.
