The bankruptcy of A&P is going to change the Philadelphia grocery store landscape, with shoppers seeing stores close or change hands. A&P maintains 23 Pathmark and 17 Superfresh stores in the region. Of particular interest is the Superfresh at 309 S Fifth St in the Society Hill neighborhood, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports. Even before the A&P bankruptcy, Alterra Property Group had plans to eventually raze the structure and develop a mixed-use property. [PBJ]
