OC Investor Acquires Pilates Chain

Irvine-based LAG Fit Inc acquired a chain of 35 Club Pilates in the US and Australia for an undisclosed price from a competitor in Del Mar. Club Pilates is a franchised brand of studios that offers classes and other training for those interested in Pilates. Club Pilates founder Allison Beardsley, who established the brand in 2007, will remain involved in operations, the OC Business Journal reports. She also retains a 25% stake in the company. LAG had previously owned the LA Boxing franchising system. [OCBJ]
