American Restaurant Bags Five Fresca's

Irvine-based American Restaurant Holdings bought the five Orange County locations of Costa Mesa-based Fresca’s Mexican Grill, as part of its effort to acquire multi-unit quick-casual brands and single-unit restaurants. In January, the company bought the 55-unit, health-oriented Muscle Maker Grill chain, which is based in New Jersey. Locally, American Restaurant also runs JoJo’s Pizza Kitchen in Brea, Chino Hills and Mira Loma; and two single-unit restaurants: Canyon Fireside Grille in Rancho Santa Margarita and Fronteras Mexican Grill and Cantina in Alhambra, reports the Orange County Business Journal.
