At the Irvine Business Complex, construction is underway on a slew of new additions, including a seven-story hotel and a mid-rise office tower.

Work has begun on a new 149-key Hyatt Place Hotel at the intersection of Main Street and Von Karman Avenue in Irvine. The hotel should be completed in Q4.

Near the hotel, there will soon be a groundbreaking for 17850VK, a nine-story office tower at 17850 Von Karman Ave.

Hines Interests and Oaktree Capital are developing the project, designed by Gensler. The office building will have 237k SF of leasable Class-A space, a conference facility and a fitness center, according to Urbanize LA.

The mid-rise tower will feature floor-to-ceiling glass and flexible workspaces. It is expected to be completed by the fall of next year. [ULA]
