CBRE's Hong Kong Retail Head Moves To Take On New York

CBRE is elevating its head of retail in Asia to senior vice president, and moving him to New York City.

Joel Stephen spent the last three years based in Hong Kong, where he led the team that brought 35 new brands to the Chinese market. Before then, he was based in London and Shanghai, with connections across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Now, Stephen, a U.K. native who has worked for CBRE for 11 years, will work out of CBRE's New York office as senior vice president of retail.

From New York, Stephen will oversee retail transactions and expansions in the U.S. and in over 30 markets globally. New York is considered the premier market for international brands introducing themselves to the U.S. consumer, and Stephen will be focused on doing just that.
