Yet another firm has joined the Cassidy Turley fold—the new entity just signed an MOU with London-based GVA Grimley for the creation of a new international partnership. As previously announced,Colliers ABR and NJ’s Colliers Houston & Co. will officially rebrand as Cassidy Turley along with seven other US firms.
Colliers ABR principal Jim Frederick, whom we met along with chairman Mark Boisi in the firm’s E. 52nd St. offices, says a down market is the best time to grow, and now’s the time for certain Colliers firms to control their destiny. Their firm and Colliers Houston are joining Midwest’s Colliers Turley Martin Tucker; DC’s Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers; MD’s Colliers Pinkard; Northern Cali’s BT Commercial; Southern Cali and Arizona’s BRE Commercial; and Silicon Valley’s CPS CORFAC. The new, wholly owned and privately held entity has 2.8k employees, 800 brokers, and 420M SF under management, making it one of the country’s top firms right out of the box.
And they’re already a team—We snapped this of Mark with DC’s Joe Stettinius, Art Santry, and Bill Collins (standing), and NY’s Joe Grotto and Richard Bernstein at the recent REBNY banquet. What does this mean for NY? A stronger platform and the ability to cautiously grow, Mark says; in fact, they’ve already built out half of the 15th floor to accommodate more executives. Expect the office to ramp up its corporate service, capital markets, and tenant rep offerings, as well, where they’ve already started hiring.
