Amazon has signed a seven-year lease to open a distribution outpost at Salmar Property's Liberty View Industrial Plaza in Sunset Park.
The lease comes with a renewal option for two additional five-year terms. No word on how much space the e-tail giant will be renting in the eight-story, 1.1M SF complex at 850 3rd Ave, the Real Deal reports, but asking rents in the building are in the high $20s or low $30s PSF. Amazon's neighbors will be Bed Bath & Beyond and Koppers Chocolate. The rest of the property is vacant.
Amazon also signed a 17-year lease for 470k SF at 7 W. 34th St last year. [TRD]
