VP Ronen Katz (center, with colleague Danny Rudin and Newmark Knight Frank's Ross Kaplan), who died in an accident involving his motorcycle on Sunday (New York Post). Ronen was a rare individual who possessed all of the requisite tools for a lifetime of success in business, but more importantly, he possessed the goodwill and generosity of spirit for a lifetime of success as a person, Peter continues. “He had a greater impact for good in his 27 years than most achieve in 80 years.” After graduating from UPenn, Israel-native Ronen interned at Merrill Lynch before joining Angelo, Gordon in '05, NYT reports. |

Fried Frank partner Jonathan Mechanic, who represented Angelo, Gordon in a variety of deals, credits it to Ronen's attention to detail—as well as his personality. “He was the most warm and engaging person; it was easy for all sides of the table to work with him,” he said. “You had to love Ronen, there was no other way.” |
