This smiling RedOwl Analytics crew won the most innovative company award at the RSA Conference in San Francisco this week. VP Renny McPherson told us from the show that the Baltimore analytics software company recently transitioned four of its pilot users to paying customers. Its software analyzes an organization’s electronic communications to identify normal behaviors and communications patterns. It’s used to investigate financial crimes and to predict illicit behaviors. Renny says that transition from pilot to paying for a startup is proof that the product works and is needed. RedOwl is hoping to bring in 15 to 20 more paying customers this year.
