DC tech companies have long complained (whined even) that it's tough to find talent. Dice's recent hiring survey proves they weren't exactly wrong. DC was named by surveyed recruiters and hiring managers as one of the most difficult East coast cities to recruit tech people. Tampa, Fla., and Boston were also up there. New York takes the prize for being the hardest city, followed by San Francisco. For these tech hubs, including DC, an abundance of tech firms clamoring for the similar talent and six-figure salaries are creating the challenge. The Midwest is also posing some problems, with five of the top 12 most challenging cities in which to recruit.
