American Campus Communities broke ground on its fourth student housing transaction with Northern Arizona University. When the new community opens in fall 2017, it will house 626 students in 163 units.
The new community, to be named SkyView, will be in the heart of the NAU campus on Runke Drive, and will feature three-, four- and five-story buildings with apartment and townhome floor plans with configurations from two- to four-bedroom units.
A two-story, 12k SF community center will feature academic amenities, including private study rooms, a quiet study loft and an Academic Success Center. Social areas will include a fire pit, an active gaming area and a lounge.
SkyView was developed under ACC’s American Campus Equity program, which allows universities to build student housing while taking on minimum risk. Under the program, no university financial resources are used.
