Retailers Hope Pokémon Go Keeps On Going

US retailers are crossing their fingers, hoping the Pokémon Go craze will carry forward to December and dominate this year’s holiday shopping.

The items the industry is banking on include Nintendo’s Pokémon video games and a Pikachu doll that wiggles its ears, Bloomberg reports. Both items highlight the Toy Insider’s Hot 20 list, and that's not surprising—the Pokémon Go app has been downloaded more than 500 million times since its July debut.

“Pokémon Go has definitely given us a fresh look at Pokémon,” says Toy Insider publisher Laurie Schacht. “Both the toys and the video games are skyrocketing.” [Bloomberg]
