| The former Del Lago Resort, which now features 445 rooms and cabins (room count was halved to create all suites) launched in March 2009 following a two-year, $130M renovation and expansion. A two-story lobby (in the forefront above) incorporating several premium food venues was added as well as a 10k SF waterfront ballroom, 17k SF spa, 3.5-acre Aqua Park, and stand-alone, fine dining restaurant from world renowned master chef Albert Roux. | |||
| The 70k SF conference center earned certification from the International Association of Conference Centers last month, which demonstrates its credibility, sales director Luvonne Sharr tells us. From training to teambuilding and retreats, the resort creates customized packages, too. Currently, oil and gas companies are the No. 1 industry doing just that. The center includes the nearly 10k SF ballroom—which is divisible into three venues, business center, amphitheatre, exhibit hall, and a newly constructed 9k SF ballroom divisible into two spaces and overlooking the resort's marina. | |||
