Investors led by Elliott Kyle acquired the historic Roxy Theater in East Nashville's Cleveland Park neighborhood this week for $1.3M, and are planning a live entertainment venue with a restaurant, though no specific plans have been revealed. The property has been shuttered for many years; the recession and other problems put the kibosh on previous plans to restore it.
Originally developed in the late 1930s, the property at 827 Meridian St was once a hub for a thriving neighborhood. It isn't the first site Elliott has bought in Cleveland Park, which he bets will be the city's "next cool district," the Nashville Business Journal reports.
