Country star Alan Jackson bought the 6k SF building at 421 Broadway, home to the now-closed The Wheel and The Wheel Cigar Bar, for more than $5.7M. He plans to open AJ's Good Time Bar, a country venue named after the singer's 2008 hit Good Time, later this year after renovations to the building.
The $925/SF price sets a new record for a Lower Broad building, the Tennessean reports. Alan Jackson is no stranger to the area: he's also partner in Acme Feed & Seed, a bar, eatery and concert venue on Lower Broad. Robin Realty Co's Seth Harlan repped the sellers, Robert and Libbi McCullough Lee, while Radley Hendrixson of Colliers International Nashville repped 421 Broadway LLC, the buying entity.
