Mars Petcare Looking For 200k SF For New HQ

Mars Petcare US Inc, one of the largest employers in Williamson County, is looking for new HQ space—and needs about 200k SF. It hasn't named a specific location, but the Nashville Business Journal reports it will likely be elsewhere in Williamson County, and in a building that doesn't exist yet, considering the square footage Mars Petcare needs.

The company, which is a subsidiary of the reticent Mars Inc, relocated from the West Coast to Franklin about 10 years ago, occupying the 126k SF 315 Cool Springs Blvd building. Only about two years ago, Mars Petcare opened a Global Innovation Center in Thompson's Station. Franklin/Cool Springs' office vacancy rate is less than 1%, and Williamson County is adding jobs faster than any other county in Tennessee. [NBJ]
