Double The Fun: Manchester Inward Investor Office Enquiries Surge

The surge of corporate enthusiasm for Manchester from office occupiers outside the region is accelerating.

Early enquiries data from Barings Real Estate's 180K SF Landmark office scheme at Oxford Street, Manchester, suggests the summer has seen a doubling of inward investor interest.

“More than 50% of the current enquiries on Landmark are from inward occupiers, new to Manchester city centre," CBRE Senior Director Neil Mort said. "Compare this with recent CBRE research, which showed that 21% of office occupiers taking space in Manchester City Centre in the last two years were new to the city, the Landmark enquiry schedule shows more than double that level which is great news for the city centre office market.”

The off-set concrete core, which allows for larger flexible floorplates, is now complete. The scheme is developed by Barings, with Castlebrooke Investments as development managers. It was designed by architects Squire & Partners.

The block is part of a new cluster of south-central office developments focused on St Peter's Square a few steps away.

Landmark is one of only two new-build office developments due to be completed in Manchester city centre in 2019.

Agents on Landmark are CBRE and Colliers International.
