Texas-based investor TPG and partner Stoford Developments have signed The Hut Group to open a 168K SF logistics and global content creation studio in Manchester.

The development at the 45-acre Icon site, Airport City North, will include a 104K SF warehouse.

A reserved matters application has been submitted to Manchester City Council for the two buildings. The site is close to junction 6 of the M56 motorway and the World Freight Terminal.

“The connectivity this site offers occupiers makes it hugely significant as an important logistics hub for South Manchester and the region as a whole," Stoford Developments Joint Managing Director Dan Gallagher said.

TPG Real Estate and Stoford Developments have now completed their second acquisition, Icon Harlow, which brings the total gross development value of the joint venture to just over £250M.

TPG Real Estate is the real estate platform of TPG, with more than $73B assets under management.
