Porter Ranch is about to get a $150M project that will include 266 luxury apartments, a Whole Foods Market, a hotel, a movie theater, a medical building and retail.

Shappell Properties and Liberty Building Co. broke ground on the 345K SF project last week that will also include a Kaiser Permanente building.

The development, which will be at the corner of Rinaldi Street and Porter Ranch Drive, will be built around a central green space and a community center that will be used for special events.

It will be built in two phases, Curbed Los Angeles reports.

The first will include restaurants and shops, and will be completed next year. The second phase will feature the hotel and housing.

It is not expected to be completed until 2020.
