New IKEA, Biggest In The U.S., Set To Open In Burbank Next Month

The new IKEA in Burbank will have its grand opening Feb. 8, IKEA officials said yesterday. The 456k SF store will be the largest IKEA in the U.S.

Customers will be able to line up at the 805 South San Fernando Blvd store at 6 a.m. that day to take advantage of store promotions and opening day festivities, the LA Times reports.

The current IKEA, nearby at the Burbank Town Center, will stay open until Feb. 4.

The new store on South San Fernando Boulevard will have space for 600 customers to eat at the store restaurant and will nearly double its warehouse size, which will allow the store to showcase more of its products.

The IKEA has been under construction for more than a year. [LAT]
