A large mixed-use project may be replacing the long-standing Amoeba Music.
While the details are still unfolding, a developer filed plans last week to build a new mixed-use building at the site at Sunset and Vine with more than 50 units.
No worries for Amoeba fans though.
The owners of Amoeba Music say they don't plan to pack up their CDs until the building's lease is up in a few years, Curbed reports.
Even then, they plan to stay in Hollywood.
LAist reported earlier this month on a rendering on an architectural firm's website of a 25- to 30-story tower for the site. [Curbed]
