The more than century-old Pettetone Building in DTLA is going through a transformation.
RYDA is converting the building at 510 South Broadway into creative offices. The five-story building was built in 1905 by developer O.T. Johnson and architect Robert B. Young, Urbanize LA reports.
The building has been vacant since the early 1980s. RYDA has teamed up with Wolcott Architecture for the reno. The building is an L.A. Historic Cultural Landmark.
The approximately 45k SF building will get new elevators, a 2,500 SF amenity deck on the roof, electrical and structural updates, and high-speed fiber. A taqueria, Mezcalero, occupies about half of the 15k SF of retail space on the ground floor.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year. [ULA]
