The Beverly Center's $500M reno is well underway, but the mall has just put up some eye-catching art to camouflage some of its exterior construction.
A woman, who seems to be flashing mall customers, can be seen on the front of the mall by passersby.
The 70-foot mural was done by artist Geoff McFetridge, Curbed reports.
The art was chosen because it is "slyly provocative" and "evokes the open and civic spirit of Beverly Center’s reimagining—itself, a kind of lifting of skirts," according to an official statement from the Beverly Center.
It's the first of several Taubman Centers Inc, the mall owner, plans to use during the reno, which will include new street-level restaurants, a gourmet food hall and a new smart parking system.
It's expected to be finished in time for the holidays in 2018. [Curbed]
