New $500M Renovation Begins At The Beverly Center

The construction cranes over La Cienega Boulevard signal the much-anticipated $500M renovation of the Beverly Center has begun.

Taubman Centers Inc announced the makeover earlier this year.

As part of the renovation, the mall will feature a new streetscape; street-level restaurants that open to West Third Street; a smart parking system; new, interior skylights; and a gourmet food hall (THE STREET) by chef Michael Mina on the mall’s eighth level, among other additions, according to Urbanize LA.

Studio Fuksas is designing the remodeling project.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018. [ULA]
