Plans For Luxury High-Rise Hotel On Deck At River Oaks District

A luxury high-rise hotel is in the works at River Oaks District. The Houston Chronicle discovered an application New York-based EQX River Oaks filed with the city, detailing a 214-room hotel with ground-floor restaurant space. The development will be at the parking lot on Westcreek Lane, near the corner of Westheimer and 610.

The project will be fitness-focused. Most know Equinox as an operator of high-end gyms (like the one in River Oaks District already), but the company has been moving into fitness-focused hotels, with its first concepts opening in Manhattan and LA in early 2019. The Houston location will contain 70 apartments.
