Rockin' the Rooftop

The Gotham Organization kicked off the fourth season of its summer music series, OpenA.I.R: Artist In Residence at its Atlas New York building on 66 W. 38th St. last week with a concert by The Young Veins. The owner has offered up the Sky Terrace of the building for the past four years as an alternative venue for up-and-coming artists, who perform against the backdrop of the Empire State Building (and it can boast that Lady Gaga played there in '08, on the cusp of her mega career). Upcoming shows include Gin Wigmore on 8/2, Ry Cuming on 8/10, and a show with Rhett Miller later in the month.
