Dirt Turned on Z Block

Colorado-based developer McWhinney, along with Grand American Inc and Sage Hospitality, broke ground this week on Z Block, the full square block along Wazee and Blake streets between 18th and 19th streets. The historic buildings on the block will be renovated, and when complete the LEED Gold Z Block will also sport new restaurants, local retail and office space, as well as a 172-room independent hotel. The site is one of the last remaining full-block development sites within LoDo.
