The recovery from the recession has been arduous, but some places have recovered more quickly than others. Denver is No. 4 on WalletHub’s 2014 Most Recession-Recovered Cities. The company compared 150 US cities using 18 key metrics, such as the inflow of college-educated workers, number of new businesses, unemployment rates, and home price appreciation. Two Texas cities were No. 1 and 2—Laredo and Irving—while Fayetteville, NC, was third. Denver beat out Dallas, Corpus Christi, and Minneapolis, among others.
