Denver-based Amstar Group has set its eyes due southeast for its latest acquisitions. Amstar, in a partnership with Huntington Industrial Partners, purchased two distribution warehouses in the Southeast for an undisclosed sum. Both centers are fully leased but are still considered value-add opportunities given that they were bought below replacement cost, says Huntington's Lathan Allen. (Plus, science tells us Southern hospitality can add value to even the most priceless items.) The partnership purchased 3760 Southside Industrial, a 187k SF warehouse on the outskirts of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport leased by Pratt Industries, and 1325 Heil Quaker Blvd in Nashville, purchased from Eaton Vance.
