IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN

That's right. Legions of high schoolers and their parents are descending upon The Land Around Washington Square Park and playing Follow the Leader with dutiful NYU tour guides. We would have been more frustrated about not being able to get around the slow-moving hordes on our way to the NYU Schack event if it wasn't so funny to watch 17-year-olds torn between amazement about being in Manhattan and mortification over being in Manhattan—with (gasp) their parents.
The view from NYU Kimmel Center's "penthouse" over Washington Square Park and up Fifth Avenue all the way to Central Park. Not bad. Not bad at all.
