This just in: After stepping off the stage at the REACH Social last week, Danny Nikitas has stepped into the role of principal and managing director of Avison Young’s Chicago office. (We snapped him at the event with his wife Margaret, above.) Most recently EVP at MB Real Estate, Danny will lead day-to-day operations at AY and guide its Midwest expansion. Fun facts we learned from Danny: He and his wife celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on Monday; his birthday is coming up on Cinco de Mayo (just like your Chicago reporter!); and he’s a big Lou Malnati’s fan (T-shirt evidence above). Danny played pro basketball in Greece before he entered the real estate industry (but more on that later once we kick off Bisnow’s “Before They Were Stars" series).
