Charlotte-based Hendrick Construction will build a 7,100 SF Comedy Zone at The NC Music Factory—the newest venue in uptown Charlotte's Fourth Ward entertainment district. The club, being built under the existing Saloon nightclub, will seat 400 and feature performances by the country?s top stand-up comics, as Comedy Zones are wont to do. ?There's nothing like seeing a bunch of happy people  come out of a comedy club—it's the happiest they've been all week long,? says ARK Group president Noah Lazes, Music Factory developer. Construction cost wasn't released. Hendrick Construction also built The Saloon, as well as The Fillmore, Butter NC, and Mattie?s Diner at NC Music Factory. The project is under way and scheduled for completion in late June.
