About 250 local CRE execs representing 25 companies participated recently in the fourth annual Six on Six Volleyball Classic, a charity volleyball tourney that this year raised $50k for Crisis Assistance Ministry. (Each team donated $2,000 to participate.) That's Lincoln Harris? Jubal Early, his team?s captain, schmoozing with one of the officials, Childress Klein's Tricia Noble. ?I'm team captain and head coach,? Jubal told us early in the day. ?Of course we're going to win.? Buttering up one of the refs didn't help, though. Trinity Partners took home the trophy.

The five-hour event, hosted by Childress Klein and Beacon Partners, was held at Freedom Park. It was a Who's Who of Charlotte CRE pros. The 25 teams sported names like ?The Triple Nets,? and ?Set for Life.? Crisis Assistance Ministry?s Michelle Hamilton says the contribution this year is a great shot in the arm for the non-denominational ministry?s mission, which includes helping more than 80,000 people per year with such basic needs as rent, food, clothing, utilities, and household items. ?We work to help bring people in financial crisis to some kind of stability, and these folks are kind enough to take time away from their business to help,? she says.
